Pupil Premium funding is made available to schools where they can demonstrate that a pupil meets one of the following criteria:
- They are in receipt of free school meals, or have been in receipt of free school meals during the previous 6 years.
- They are in local authority care.
- They have been adopted from care or have left care.
- Their parents are currently in or have served in the armed services in the previous 6 years.
This funding is then used by the school to help support the learning and welfare of children. This could include targeted learning interventions, or additional pastoral support. If you believe that your child is eligible for pupil premium funding and this information has not been passed to the school please contact Ms Julie Handley in the school office, who can support you in making an application.
The full breakdown of how we use this funding is detailed in our Pupil Premium Strategy, below.
