Admissions Arrangements

Bolton Council is the admissions authority for our school. Any child has the right to a place at our school provided that the demand for places does not exceed our admissions number of 60 children per year group. Initially, places will be allocated to children with an EHCP  which names a particular school as part of the document. The council allocates other places on the basis of a fair and objective method.

Bolton’s admission procedures, and information about in-year admissions/transfers, can be found at http://www.bolton.gov.uk/admissions

Bolton Council's Pupil and Student Services contact details: 01204 332143 / 01204 332137

For any pupils who are new to the UK, you must contact Achievement, Cohesion and Integration Services (ACIS) first on 01204 338055.

For any pupils with SEND, The school has an Accessibility Plan in place, which is reviewed every three years, or more frequently if required. The aim of the plan is to provide a fully accessible environment which values and includes all pupils, staff, parents/carers and  visitors. We are committed to challenging negative attitudes about disability and  accessibility and to developing a culture of awareness and inclusion. Accessibility is not limited to those pupils, staff, parents/carers and visitors with a registered disability; at our school we work to overcome all barriers that we become aware of. To read more about our Accessibility Plan, or information about SEND at Devonshire Road, please visit our Policies page and SEND page.

If you have any questions about the admissions process at Devonshire Road Primary School, or require any support with the process, please get in touch with Ms Julie Handley (01204 333614, or, handleyj@devonshire.bolton.sch.uk).
